PIV 5500
Nireco’s Positive Infinite Variable Cut Length Controller
The PIV 5500 is a cut to length controller that works in combination with the CT 5500 to carry out two control functions. The PIV 5500 will adjust the base speed of the machine to keep the cut length within the range of the CT 5500. Applications include those with cumulative repeat errors such as sheet cutters or perforating pre-printed stock. Call Nireco America today if you have a pre-print registration application. - Operation is automatically stopped when the scanning heads fail to generate signals or when the web speed decelerates.
- Built-in check function
- The controller is equipped with a self-diagnostic function to verify operation.
- Cut length
- The cut length can be set up during idling, minimizing production costs
- Deviation display
- The measured deviation rate is displayed by LED
- Cutting errors due to tension changes are automatically compensated

- Folders, sheeters, face-back matching in offset printing presses, gravure printing presses, flexo printing presses, and newspaper presses.
- Perforation and overprinting of business form printing machines.
- Overprinting and cutters of seal printing machines.
