B3171 Power Relay Interface Module
Description:
This series of power relay interface modules are designed to be applied to a wide selection of general purpose switching applications. They are available with either one or two form C contacts rated for five or ten amps. Most models are available with the optional coil status indicator lamps and transient suppressors. The relay is plugged into a molded, phenolic, standard octal socket on the circuit board with the contacts and coil connections terminated to heavy duty barrier type terminal blocks.
These relays are not designed for low level or dry circuit switching applications. They are used for solenoid valve or motor control applications. The ten amp models will switch up to a half horsepower AC motor at 230 volts AC. For low level or dry circuit switching applications the model series B2681 relay interface module is available in two and four pole versions.
The relays used in this industrial grade module are rated for over 10 million mechanical cycles. A wide selection of AC and DC coil voltages are available. The relays are mounted inside a clear polycarbonate dust cover. The relays are UL recognized under file numbers E29244 and E22575. In addition, all of the models are CSA certified.
The circuit board is solder masked and conformal coated. All user connections are clearly marked and are made to two barrier type terminal blocks, supplied with #6-32 captive wire clamping plates. Each terminal is capable of accepting a #12 to a #20 AWG wire. The board can be mounted in the user's control enclosure in plastic mounting track.
Applications:
General purpose one and two pole relays to handle currents to 10 amps.
