C2509 Universal Potentiometer Assembly
Description:
This universal potentiometer assembly is designed to provide the user with a single circuit board that is capable of holding up to three potentiometers and four fixed value resistors. This module is generally used as a signal scaling, trim, or bias setting device. The main adjustment potentiometer is mounted on a bracket, above the board surface.
Configurations are available with either a single or ten turn main potentiometer. All of the modules that contain a ten turn main potentiometer include a one inch diameter turns counting dial, with a shaft lock. Single turn versions can be supplied with a shaft lock or an adjustment knob. Models with a shaft lock are standard and are recommended for all applications that are subject to vibration. The most common configuration is with the main, bracket mounted, potentiometer only with its three terminals brought out to the tabs on the board. However, provisions are included on the board to configure the main potentiometer either as a variable resistor or voltage divider with additional scale and trim components.. All components are clearly marked on the board. If your application requires a resistive divide, this potentiometer can probably be configured to fit.
The universal potentiometer assembly is a extremely versatile and easy to use device that can be configured for a variety of variable resistance and voltage divider applications. Control systems often contain a number of adjustment potentiometers that are set once during the startup and tuning process. These setup potentiometers are typically mounted inside the control panel enclosure and generally require costly brackets and supports. The model series C2505 universal potentiometer assembly is designed to snap mount in plastic track thus eliminating the need for these individual support brackets. The ability to stack these units in a single track provides a simple and cost effective solution. All external wiring connections are made to the clearly marked .250 inch male tabs.
Applications:
Circuit board mounted potentiometer and resistive components. Used to set bias, gain, zero and span values during the equipment startup and calibration.
