C3268 Digital Tension Indicating System
Nireco’s C3268 Digital Tension Indicator
This C3268 monitors and displays web tension as measured by strain gage transducers and is applicable in most web processing machines. The load cell amplifier, power supply and signal condition circuitry is constructed on a single circuit board which is mounted inside a wall mounted metal enclosure. The system includes a digital readout and power on-off selector switch. Choice of tension transducers from 25 lb to 200 lb ratings is available. Alternatively, the amplifier and meter can be mounted in your control console.
Designed to operate in demanding industrial environments, the Indicator features a highly stable instrument amplifier and a regulated power supply to limit the output signal variation to less than .2% as the input power supply and operating temperature are varied over the specified range. Adjustable damping provides a stable meter display when subjected to high levels of both conducted and radiated electrical noise.
The indicator will operate directly from a 115 or 230 volt ac, 47 to 62 Hz., single-phase power line. Included is a regulated 5 volt dc power supply for the transducer excitation voltage. Input signal are accepted from one or two metal foil or semiconductor type strain gage transducers arranged in a full bridge configuration. Included is a digital readout with 1 inch high, red LED display, 1999 full scale with selectable decimal point position. The unit is also available with an optional ac power line on-off selector switch.
The amplifier circuit board includes a high level amplified load cell signal for driving additional tension indicators as well as adjustable, multi-turn, excitation voltage, display zero, display span and display damping controls. The connections to the load cells and the ac power line are routed through strain relief bushings. Plug in type terminal blocks are supplied for all of the external wire connections.
The Digital Tension Indicator provides a, simple to use, load cell power supply, signal conditioning amplifier and display in a single package.
