Calgraph 9000Nireco’s Automatic Register Control System for Web Offset Presses
The Calgraph 9000 is an automatic color register control system for commercial and newspaper offset presses, using the Nireco’s latest image processing technology. It utilizes a full color area CCD camera, with a high intensity strobe, to capture an image of the register marks. The Calgraph color register control displays the actual register marks in real time on the touch screen display. This color register control offers waste reduction with fast, high precision registration.

- Reduces spoilage during printing
- All errors in register mark position are corrected swiftly, minimizing the incidence of spoilage.
- The camera can be mounted before the drier
- The detection method has a long depth of field, which reduces susceptibility to variation in web position. Therefore the camera can be mounted between the final printing unit and the drier. This reduces the distance between the printing units and the register mark detector, giving a faster control response to errors.
- Fine register marks
- The register marks used are circles only 0.9mm across. Register control is based on the center of each circular mark.
